Five Days Wilderness Survival Course

5 Day Survival Course

 

This wilderness survival course is designed specifically for people wanting a real taste of survival experience in a safe and controlled environment.

 

Course starts with a brief safety talk and introduces you to even more of the stresses of survival. For two nights, your kit will stay in your bag with exception of your survival tin, knife, cooking pot, head torch and (waterproofs only if required).

 

You will then learn how to build a shelter to keep warm and dry at night. You will also learn how to light a fire and the importance of fire safety. You will build your own signals, collect, filter & purify water. You will go on a plant ID walk and learn how to identify wild foods and how to prepare them. Learn key components of wilderness survival, the art of trapping and how to navigate using the stars and the sun.

 

On your final day you will be given a series of informal tests to complete!

 

All participants will receive a certificate on completion of this course and are at the standard required for the 4 Day Advanced Professional Survival Course.
